What a great time we all had at the Market Street Club in Barry for our Choir Taster Evening. It was nice to see all the folk who not only turned up, but actually hung around, taking a keen interest in the choir (and not just the beer and buffet!) The choir all enjoyed the evening too.
After the three prepared songs, that showed the variety of our repertoire, there was an outbreak of random singing from all corners of the room, with some old favourites being sung. This was followed by the full choir getting back up in response to a request to perform 'Bohemian Rhapsody', complete with guest Air Guitars from the audience!
Several of those who attended our recruitment night (from the young to the not so young) have since come along to rehearsals.
Proving that as as long as the enthusiasm is there, age is immaterial.
We look forward to welcoming those who wish to take their interest a stage further at future rehearsals - Mondays and Thursdays at Trinity Church Hall, Trinity Street, Barry (7.30pm - 9.00pm). Even if you couldn't make last night, you will still be given a warm welcome if you turn up.
