Barry Male Voice Choir is an amateur choir based in the seaside town of Barry, in the Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. We are a friendly group of men who enjoy singing a variety of musical styles, from traditional Welsh hymns and songs to more contemporary numbers.

The choir has a professional conductor and accompanist and we perform in a variety of venues, m ainly to help raise money for charity; and is itself also a registered charity.

Despite two world wars, the advent of radio and television and all the other social changes brought by the 20th centruy, Barry Male Voice Choir has been involved in one hundred and thirteen years of unbroken music making. From its humble beginnings as a party of twelve men it grew to be a choir of more than one hundred strong. In the early days the emphasis was on competitions and the success achieved was considerable. In recent years the choir has concentrated on charity concerts and weddings and remains at the heart of Barry’s community activities, taking part in many civic functions.

The choir has members from across the Vale of Glamorgan and we are always on the lookout for new men to join. If you would like to find out more about becoming a member of the choir please click here to view the web page we have set up to illustrate how easy it could be.
